Transport Manager
Feltham | Contract Logistics | £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus
Loom Talent are delighted to be partnering with a leading contract logistics business in the recruitment of a Transport Manager to take overall responsibility for the transport operation at their Feltham distribution centre.
This is a hands-on management role, responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient running of a fleet of 50+ vehicles, while driving service, operational performance and continuous improvement.
The Role
You will take ownership of the day-to-day transport operation, including:
- Leading and managing the transport team and daily operation.
- Supporting route planning and ensuring routes meet legal weight and time restrictions.
- Monitoring key transport KPIs, including OTIF performance by route, driver and customer.
- Maintaining full compliance with the site's Operator Licence.
- Ensuring temperature control and cold-chain compliance are maintained.
- Managing POD compliance and investigating delivery discrepancies.
- Managing vehicle maintenance, repairs and associated budgets.
- Working closely with vehicle contractors to minimise downtime.
- Working collaboratively with warehouse, distribution and wider operational teams.
- Developing and motivating the team to improve productivity, service and performance.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Transport Manager who can demonstrate:
- 3+ years' Transport Management experience within Food, FMCG or Contract Logistics.
- Experience managing a fleet of 50+ vehicles.
- A National/International CPC qualification.
- Strong knowledge of transport compliance and Operator Licence requirements.
- A hands-on, operational approach with strong leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for people development, service improvement and operational excellence.
- The ability to commute to Feltham.
