Croydon, London | Full-Time, Permanent | From £35,000 (DOE)

We're looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a fast-paced operation where compliance, structure, and professionalism aren't buzzwords, they're how we actually work. This isn't a "bums on seats" planning role; it's a chance to bring genuine control and calm to a busy operation.

You'll work closely with senior management, drivers, customers, and our compliance team to keep things running efficiently, legally, and smoothly, even when the pressure is on. If you think ahead instead of constantly firefighting, and take real pride in running a tight operation, we'd like to talk to you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning and coordinating daily vehicle movements
  • Managing driver schedules and route allocation
  • Keeping communication sharp with drivers and customers throughout the day
  • Monitoring vehicle availability against operational needs
  • Supporting compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time, and Operator Licence requirements
  • Handling operational issues calmly and decisively, without losing control of the day
  • Liaising with the workshop/compliance team on defects, maintenance, and vehicle availability
  • Planning work that's both commercially efficient and fully compliant
  • Helping shape and improve our operational systems and processes over time

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
