We combine innovation, engineering excellence and industry-leading customer service to deliver outstanding results for our customers. Our mission - Together We Make Safe - underpins everything we do.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly driven, hands-on Transport & Fleet Optimisation Manager to lead and continuously improve our transport operations across our Middlewich and Sandbach depots. This role is critical to ensuring our fleet operates safely, compliantly, efficiently and cost-effectively, while maintaining our primary objective of delivering On-Time and In-Full (OTIF) performance for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver full transport compliance, including tachograph management, driver hours, vehicle inspections, audits and all relevant legal obligations.
  • Maintain, manage and continuously improve FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) accreditation, ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
  • Plan and optimise daily delivery routes to achieve maximum vehicle utilisation, optimal load fill and minimal wasted mileage
  • Work closely with the Warehouse, Despatch and Planning teams to align dispatch schedules, production output and fleet availability
  • Balance operational efficiency with the business priority of delivering customer orders On-Time and In-Full (OTIF).
  • Source, onboard and manage subcontract hauliers and specialist transport contractors to provide additional capacity during peak periods or for specialist delivery requirements.
  • Ensure all third-party transport partners operate in line with CLD safety, compliance and service standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
