Transport Operational Administrator

Clarks Distribution Centre | Full Time | Based in Street

At Clarks, our products reach millions of customers around the world every year. Behind every successful delivery is a high-performing logistics operation, and we're looking for a confident, organised and proactive Transport Administrator to help keep our distribution network moving.

This is an opportunity to join a well-known global brand whilst playing a key role in ensuring that customer and store deliveries leave our Distribution Centre on time and in full. You'll work closely with transport providers, operational teams and key stakeholders to coordinate daily transport activity, resolve issues and keep our supply chain running smoothly.

If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to challenge suppliers when needed, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Transport Operational Administrator, you'll provide day-to-day support for the transport operation, helping to ensure carrier commitments are met and deliveries are executed successfully.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Booking and confirming carrier collections, trailers and transport movements.
  • Coordinating daily dispatch activity to ensure planned volumes leave the Distribution Centre on schedule.
  • Maintaining regular communication with carriers including DPD, Europa and other logistics partners.
  • Monitoring transport performance and escalating issues where required.
  • Challenging supplier schedule changes and helping secure agreed transport capacity.
  • Supporting operational teams when collections or deliveries are at risk.
  • Managing records, transport documentation and operational correspondence.
  • Preparing and sending clear, professional communications to carriers and stakeholders.
  • Supporting weekend operational cover through a rota system.
  • Assisting with onboarding activities and Distribution Centre tours for new starters.
  • Contributing ideas to improve processes, communication and service performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
