Transport Operations Manager Nights
Location: Warrington Hub
Salary: £49000-£50500 + Benefits
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 21:00- 05:00 night shift with Flexibility Required Across a 24/7 Operation

We're now looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our high-performing team at our Rugby Hub.

About the Role
Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring a safe, legally compliant, and cost-efficient transport operation within one of our busiest Hub environments.

You'll support the overall success of the transport function by driving performance, maintaining compliance standards, developing colleagues, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to both internal and external customers.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Transport Operations Manager, you will:
- Support the Transport General Manager in delivering a successful 24-hour transport operation, ensuring optimum shift planning, compliance, service levels, and health and safety standards.
- Lead and develop Shift Managers, driving operational performance and promoting best-in-class fuel efficiency through effective use of Isotrak vehicle telemetry and driver coaching.
- Monitor and manage operational costs, providing detailed performance reporting and demonstrating strong commercial leadership.
- Support the development and delivery of peak operational plans aligned to forecasted volumes, automation changes, and business requirements.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and team briefings to support engagement and development.
- Lead health and safety activities, including audits, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Produce detailed shift reports, analyse KPIs, identify root causes of underperformance, and implement improvement plans.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- CPC National Qualification and experience as a named CPC holder on an Operator Licence.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong Maths and English skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent IT skills and confidence using operational systems.
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Experience using systems such as Isotrak, TMS, Tachomaster, or similar transport management platforms.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to coach, motivate and inspire colleagues to achieve their full potential.
