Job Opportunity: Transport Operations Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate night operations site. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant running of all night transport activities, supporting both drivers and colleagues while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all night transport operations, ensuring efficient routing, on time departures, accurate documentation, and effective allocation of vehicles and resources
- Lead, support, and guide night shift drivers and operational staff, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring smooth communication and handovers with day teams
- Maintain full compliance with transport legislation, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance requirements, promoting a strong safety culture across the operation
- Respond quickly to operational issues such as delays or breakdowns, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and produce clear and accurate shift reports

Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a transport / logistics environment (essential)
- Experience in a supervisory or planning role (preferred)
- Proficient in use of Microsoft office
- Strong understanding of Driver hours and transport legislation
- Fleet operations
- Good IT skills (transport systems experience beneficial)
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Calm under pressure (critical in night operations)
- Strong ownership and accountability
- Clear and professional communicator
