Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Transport Manager to manage and motivate the transport team to ensure that staff and assets are used effectively to attain maximum performance in terms of commercial contract efficiency, profit and client service levels.
- Provide leadership of day-to-day transport issues, including clear dispatch instructions and driver debriefs to maintain service quality.
- Work closely with our customers to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
- Provide regular reports to the Transport Manager on customer related and other relevant matters, making recommendations where relevant.
- Respond to queries confidently via email, phone and face-to-face interactions, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Assisting in production of KPI's and daily statistics and playing an active role to ensure daily operational targets are met.
- Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment by following all company processes.
- Direct assistance and support for breakdowns.

Requirements
- Experience of working in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage daily deadlines.
- Proactive, solution-focused mindset, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Capable of working as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
