Join the Transport Planning Team

A fantastic opportunity to join the Transport Planning Team to gain practical hands-on learning whilst completing an apprenticeship to gain your qualification! Are you passionate and keen to earn while you learn? A role that is suited to someone who has an interest in transport and logistics and the ambition to build a long-term career.

About the Role

Working within a busy transport environment, the postholder will gain practical experience of transport planning, driver and customer communication, transport systems, operational administration, and problem-solving. They will learn how individual transport movements are planned, monitored, and managed and how the team responds when circumstances change during the working day.

Initially, the postholder will work under the guidance of experienced colleagues, supporting routine activities and escalating operational issues when required. As their knowledge, judgment, and confidence develop, they will take greater ownership of transport activities and contribute to resolving operational issues.

  • Help ensure collections and deliveries are progressing in line with operational and customer requirements
  • Monitor transport movements, taking account of driver availability, delivery times, and changing operational circumstances
  • Identify potential delays or issues and communicate these promptly to the appropriate colleague
  • Update relevant systems when circumstances change
  • Prioritise activities within a busy transport environment where operational requirements may change throughout the day

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
