Sitting at the heart of M&S’s Fashion, Home & Beauty supply chain, these roles help deliver the daily transport plan across the FHB network and parts of the Ambient Food network. Working closely with third-party logistics partners and internal teams, you’ll make real-time decisions to keep our stores, customers and distribution centres moving, while supporting safe, efficient and cost-effective operations.

We are looking for someone with experience in transport, logistics or supply chain operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make confident decisions under pressure. Strong stakeholder management, organisation and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate operational changes, prioritise competing demands and build collaborative relationships with internal teams and third-party partners. A passion for safety, service and continuous improvement will help you make a real difference in this role.

There are two 12-month secondment opportunities available, both working 37.5 contracted hours per week on a two-week rotating shift pattern. The rota alternates between Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday in Week 1, followed by Wednesday and Thursday in Week 2. The working hours are 6:00am to 6:00pm.

Mandatory office days are Monday – Friday when on shift. Weekends are possible to work from home.

NB: As part of the application process for this position, you will be required to upload a copy of your CV.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Lead the in-day execution of transport operations across the LPC network, ensuring service levels are maintained for distribution centres, stores and customers through effective management of transport plans and third-party logistics partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning and Warehouse Operations teams to deliver volumes in line with the transport plan, providing clear and timely communication to stakeholders when operational challenges arise.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics including service, cost and safety, ensuring stakeholders have visibility of operational performance and escalating risks or issues where required.
  • Support financial governance through the analysis and reporting of transport volumes, subcontracted activity and associated costs, delivering accurate insights to support management decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identifying opportunities to improve ways of working, enhance operational performance and drive continuous improvement across the transport network.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
