James Kemball part of the GB Global Group is seeking a Transport Planner to join their team in South Kirkby.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Operator’s License and drivers hours legislation are adhered to
- Dealing with any issues that arise impacting operations, including traffic delays, breakdowns, accidents
- Managing drivers including agency drivers and subcontractors
- Alongside Fleet Department Maintain and action all defects immediately following the correct process and ensure any VOR vehicles are kept off the road until rectified
- Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements to achieve service expectations
- Drive high standards and flag opportunities for process improvement
- To ensure constructive relationships with all customers are maintained and developed
- To undertake any duties as may reasonably be required

Experience & Skills:
- Proven Container transport experience
- Experience within a customer service background
- Experience in a fast-moving logistics environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel
- Attention to detail supported by high quality written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changes within the work environment
- Problem solver
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure, be well organised and to meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn roles
