🚛 Transport Planner – Upminster, Essex

£35,000 – £50,000 Base Salary + Target Bonuses | Remote Working Opportunities

Looking for your next move in transport? Want to join a business where you're trusted to get the job done — rather than being treated like a number?

We’re a successful family-owned transport business based in Upminster, Essex, and we’re looking for an experienced and driven Transport Planner to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows transport, enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping things moving.

And because we believe good people deserve flexibility, there are opportunities to work remotely as part of the role.

🚚 The Role

As Transport Planner, you’ll be an important part of our day-to-day operation, making sure vehicles, drivers and customers are all where they need to be. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Planning and coordinating daily transport operations
  • Allocating work efficiently across drivers and vehicles
  • Liaising with drivers throughout the day
  • Managing customer requirements and keeping communication clear
  • Monitoring collections and deliveries
  • Reacting quickly and calmly when plans change
  • Finding practical solutions to transport challenges
  • Working closely with the wider team to keep operations running smoothly
  • Ensuring work is planned safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
