Transport Planner
We’re hiring a Transport Planner to support the business to deliver a service that our customer’s trust, in the planning and routing of vehicles for deliveries and collections throughout Ireland. Based in Cookstown, this is a hands-on role at the centre of our transport operation where you will be part of a Transport Planning team coordinating where our equipment needs to be and when it needs to be there. You will be planning routes and building load lists while fielding calls, chasing paperwork, and reacting to changes in real time. What You Will Do
- Planning deliveries and collections for a team of local drivers.
- Creation of load lists for next morning deliveries.
- Monitoring of driver’s collection notes ensuring accuracy.
- Ensuring all contracts for deliveries are signed and received in a timely fashion.
- Liaise and communicate with other departments.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery and collection requirements.
- Processing on-hire and off-hires on our hire system.
- General transport administrative duties.
What You Will Need
- Previous planning experience preferred. Strong administration backgrounds also considered.
- Strong communication and organisation skills.
- Cool, calm and organised. A confident, composed and professional individual.
- Strong attention to detail and confident use of IT systems.
- Customer focused attitude with excellent telephone etiquette.
