Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Transport Planner role based in Arkwright Town. The Transport Planner will coordinate daily vehicle movements, plan routes, allocate drivers and resources, and monitor schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. Responsibilities include managing transport documentation, updating internal systems, and communicating clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and adapt plans as needed. The role involves reviewing operational data, identifying efficiencies, and supporting continuous improvement in transport processes, while ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements.

- Candidates should possess skills in Transportation Planning and Transport Modelling to design efficient routes and movement schedules.
- Candidates should possess skills in Transportation Management and Operations Management to oversee daily transport activities and optimize resource use.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to coordinate with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders clearly and professionally.
- Relevant experience in logistics, fleet management, or transport operations, preferably within vehicle movements or related sectors.
- Ability to work with scheduling and transport management software, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of transport regulations, health and safety standards, and local road networks is beneficial.
- Formal education in transport, logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is an advantage.
