Whether you're already working as a Planner or are looking to develop into a planning role from a Transport Administrator, Logistics Coordinator or Operational Support position, we'd love to hear from you.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our busy transport operation working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. In this role, you'll be responsible for planning and optimising daily delivery routes, coordinating resources effectively and ensuring service levels are achieved safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. You'll work closely with drivers, customers and operational teams to keep the operation moving while responding to the changing demands of a fast-paced logistics environment.

- Salary up to £31,900 per annum.

- Previous experience within transport, logistics, planning, administration or coordination roles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, customers and operational teams.
- Good IT and data management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- An understanding of transport operations would be advantageous.
- Previous experience of Transport Management Systems (TMS) would be beneficial.
- Experience using Tachomaster or similar driver compliance systems would be highly desirable.
- Looking to develop your career within transport planning and logistics.
- Calm and resilient under pressure, with the ability to adapt to changing operational demands.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys building strong working relationships.
- Positive, adaptable and eager to learn.
What You Need To Succeed At XPO:
- Experience within transport, logistics, administration, coordination or planning environments.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering excellent customer service.
- Good IT skills and confidence working with operational systems and data.
- Previous experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS) and/or Tachomaster would be advantageous.
- A keen interest in developing a career within transport planning.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and a genuine team-focused approach.
