Recycle Southern Limited is a trusted Waste Collection and Recycling Company based near Chichester, serving West Sussex and South East Hampshire. Operating a diverse fleet, including tippers, grabs, skips, and articulated vehicles, the company specializes in waste removal, aggregate supply, and bulk haulage. With a fully licensed Waste Transfer Facility, they accommodate third-party tipping of non-hazardous waste and offer a wide range of building materials, available for both delivery and collection. Transport Planner
We’re recruiting a Transport Planner to join our Sales and Transport team, currently based in Chichester.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating our fleet of tippers, roros, skip loaders, grabs and artics across the Southern Region, primarily in and around West Sussex.

This position is central to maintaining our high levels of customer service. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with drivers, customers, suppliers, and colleagues throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Plan daily vehicle routes and allocate driver workloads
- Act as the main point of contact for driver communication
- Maintain close communication with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and promote driver wellbeing
- Monitor and input vehicle performance and safety data
- Take responsibility for incident and accident reporting within the fleet
- Collaborate with the Transport Manager on maintenance and driver availability
About You
Essential:
- Knowledge of drivers’ hours rules and transport compliance
- Experience managing or coordinating a vehicle fleet
- Background in the waste / recycling or construction industry
- Competent in MS Office (specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

Desirable:
- Transport / Operations experience within waste management, recycling, aggregate or bulk haulage/tippers
- Good understanding of local geography
- Full Category B (car) driving licence
Hours to be agreed – but typically rota'd between 7:00am – 17:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, to ensure cover during operational hours.
