Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for your next opportunity?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our team in Doncaster on a fixed-term maternity leave cover contract. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving logistical challenges, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating transport activities, communicating effectively with key stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of daily and longer-term transport plans.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating the effective distribution of products to internal and external customers.
  • Supporting transport operations to maximise vehicle utilisation and minimise haulage queries.
  • Providing timely and accurate communication to customers, drivers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and managing daily and weekly transport schedules to ensure service levels are achieved.
  • Responding proactively to operational changes and unforeseen events, implementing effective solutions to minimise disruption.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and fleet utilisation.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and colleagues across the business.
  • Ensuring capacity plans and forward programmes are communicated clearly and effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting the team in delivering a safe, efficient, and customer-focused transport service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
