Great opportunity to join Team Harbour in our Transport Planning Department based in Trafford Park, Manchester.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible and accountable for:

  • Planning our vehicles effectively to achieve on time deliveries
  • Ensure all customer collections are achieved.
  • Changing schedules to meet customer/network demands.
  • Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure all day-to-day activities are met to the highest possible standards.
  • Ensuring our drivers are delivering effectively and reporting delays effectively.
  • Trouble shooting critical transport related issues as they arise in a live environment.

  • The ability to utilise and manage people effectively.
  • Full training for the in-house systems will be provided, however a good knowledge of computer skills will be required.
  • Flexible approach with regards to working hours
  • Able to work under pressure in a time-critical environment.
  • Well organised with an acute attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

Working Hours

Base Hours Monday - Friday 9-5.30pm, with covering shifts through the year for colleagues holidays 6-2.30pm & 12-8.30pm (4 weeks of secondary shifts throughout the year as agreed)

Saturday mornings occasionally, paid as overtime additionally to salary + personal expenses towards mobile phone.
