Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for your next opportunity? A Bognor Regis-based waste management company is currently recruiting a reliable and organised Transport Planner to join their team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, compliance and excellent service across the business.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in transport planning, fleet coordination or a similar transport role.
  • Good knowledge of drivers’ hours rules and transport compliance.
  • Experience managing or coordinating a vehicle fleet.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of local geography.
  • Full Category B driving licence is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan & coordinate: Plan daily routes, allocate driver workloads and coordinate a varied fleet of tippers, RoRos, skip loaders, grabs and articulated vehicles.
  • Communicate & support: Act as the main point of contact for drivers while liaising with customers, suppliers and the Transport Manager to ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance & performance: Monitor transport compliance, driver wellbeing, vehicle performance and safety, including incident/accident reporting and maintenance coordination.
