Genesis Refrigeration is a growing transport refrigeration business providing servicing, maintenance, repairs, and technical support to customers across the UK.
Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, we are looking to strengthen our engineering presence in the Midlands and surrounding areas with an experienced Refrigeration Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with transport refrigeration experience to join a growing business and play an important role in supporting our customers and maintaining their refrigeration fleets.
The Role
As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on transport refrigeration equipment.
You will work directly with customers, ensuring their refrigeration equipment is maintained to a high standard and that breakdowns and technical issues are resolved efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on transport refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration system faults efficiently and accurately.
- Attend breakdowns and provide effective technical support to customers.
- Complete inspections, repairs, and maintenance in line with manufacturer and company standards.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide a professional level of customer service.
- Identify potential issues during servicing and recommend appropriate remedial work.
- Work independently while also supporting the wider Genesis Refrigeration engineering team.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles to a high standard.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health & safety and compliance requirements.

About You
We are looking for an experienced refrigeration engineer who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of reliability, customer service, and minimising vehicle downtime.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with transport refrigeration equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience carrying out servicing and repairs.
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A professional and customer-focused approach.
- Good communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The ability to travel throughout the Midlands and surrounding areas.
- Experience with Thermo King, Carrier, GAH, or other transport refrigeration systems would be advantageous.

Location
Midlands & surrounding areas
The role will involve travelling to customer sites, depots, and vehicle locations throughout the region.
