About The Role
The Transport SAP Controller position, based in Speke, is a full-time, temporary role offering £14.00 per hour with paid breaks. Working Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00, with some flexibility on start and finish times, this fully office-based assignment starts ASAP. The successful candidate will maintain the SAP/DAS system to support yard management for inbound deliveries, coordinating with UK and EU operations to ensure information is accurate and timely. Responsibilities include updating the system with amendments such as delays, cancellations, and special deliveries, alongside managing trailer units. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organisational skills and proficiency in data entry, offering a temporary-to-permanent contract for the right person.

Role Summary
The Transport SAP Controller will be responsible for updating and maintaining the SAP/DAS system to ensure the efficient flow of yard management operations for inbound deliveries to the client’s receiving decks. This role will require close coordination with EU/UK operations and the client to provide accurate and timely information in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Update SAP with amendments, including delays, cancellations, and special deliveries.
- Manage Trailer Units (TUs) by creating IDs, assigning appointments, and uploading additional TUs as required.
- Monitor and coordinate deliveries for direct and indirect operations.
- Liaise with R&FU for issues with direct/special deliveries and resolve or escalate operational inconsistencies.
- Maintain and arrange dock slots per the dock plan and operational requirements.
- Identify and report operational problems and delays while escalating complex issues to senior management.
- Resolve EU/UK delivery issues, track delayed vehicles, and improve service performance metrics.
- Timely tracking of delayed vehicles into the site.
- Maintaining inbound service levels for EU/UK deliveries.
- Reducing the number and recurrence of EU/UK delaying issues.
- Adhere to company regulations and legislation on health, safety, environment, and risk management.

Required Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Experience using SAP is essential.
- High school/secondary education.
- Strong computer literacy, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
- Experience in delivering high standards of commercial awareness.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
- Automotive operational experience.
