Location: Amesbury Depot
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 0900-1700
We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Shift Leader to lead our team at the Amesbury Depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving performance, developing talent, and ensuring operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
As Transport Shift Leader, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading your team to deliver against OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures) targets.
- Driving continuous improvement through Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives.
- Creating a high-performance culture using PMS principles, KPI tracking, and effective handovers.
- Coaching and developing team members, managing performance reviews, and handling employee relations.
- Ensuring compliance with legal, audit, and safety standards.
- Acting as the escalation point for customer service issues.
- Promoting a culture of safety and leading incident investigations.
- Supporting succession planning and personal development across the team.
- Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to enhance business performance.
- Managing contractor control and permit processes.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a similar transport or logistics leadership role (preferred).
- Strong people management and coaching skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPC in Transport Management (desirable but not essential).
