Romac Logistics is expanding and recruiting an experienced Transport Shift Manager ahead of the opening of our new 251,000 sq ft East Midlands logistics facility located at Junction 29A on the M1 corridor.

We operate a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour), offering structured work-life balance.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of HGV drivers and transport staff
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
- Monitor driver hours, tachograph compliance, and Working Time Directive adherence
- Oversee route planning efficiency and fleet utilisation
- Conduct driver briefings and debriefs
- Handle transport issues including delays, breakdowns and customer queries
- Maintain compliance with Road Traffic Act, DVSA and transport legislation
- Complete KPI reporting and shift performance analysis
- Support the Transport Manager with operational performance and cost control

Skills And Experience
- Previous experience as a high performing Transport Supervisor, or Transport Shift Manager
- Strong knowledge of driver hours regulations and tachograph rules
- Experience managing HGV drivers in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Understanding of transport compliance and fleet operations
- CPC (desirable)
