We're Hiring! Transport Shift Manager (Days)
Location: Evri Hub, Barnsley
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days (typically 06:00-18:00, flexibility required)

We’re currently looking for a Transport Shift Manager (Days) to join our Barnsley Hub, playing a key role in leading our overnight transport operation and ensuring parcels move safely, compliantly and on time through our network.

As Transport Shift Manager, you’ll take full accountability for the performance of your shift, leading teams through a fast-paced, high-volume transport operation.

- Ensuring Transport Supervisors operate effectively, managing despatch activities and completing timely, high-quality driver debriefs
- Managing a multi-channel transport operation, despatching parcels daily through the primary network during peak periods and overseeing weekly B2C collections
- Supporting the Transport Operations Manager in developing and delivering peak plans aligned to forecasted volumes, automation changes, financial targets and resourcing needs
- Leading by example to create a high-performance, people-focused culture through strong employee engagement, regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews and team meetings
- Taking full accountability for Health & Safety and quality audits, including risk assessments and safe systems of work within the Hub
- Owning overall shift performance across compliance, service levels, H&S and employee engagement
- Producing detailed end-of-shift reports, root-causing KPI failures and providing evidence-based action plans to drive continuous improvement

- CPC National qualification
- Strong knowledge of transport operations
- PC literacy with the ability to produce detailed reports and analyse performance data
- A full, current UK driving licence
- The ability to work on your own initiative and remain calm and decisive in a pressured, time-critical environment
