About the Role

GXO is currently seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Transport Supervisor to join the NHS Supply Chain contract at our Alfreton site. Can you lead from the front, motivate teams, and ensure transport operations run safely and efficiently? If you're an experienced Transport Supervisor with a passion for compliance, customer service, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.

The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Your shift pattern will be Sunday to Wednesday 10:00pm to 6:00am and Thursday to Friday 10:00pm to 5:00am, although some flexibility may be required during peak times to cover colleagues on annual leave – this is logistics after all!

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislative and corporate requirements relating to transport
  • Manage cost and service in line with agreed Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained in line with OTIF measures
  • Full responsibility for keeping your team in line with Audit Compliance relating to the site’s Tacho and Drivers Hours compliance
  • Communicate, apply and enforce company policies

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

  • Legal compliance i.e. understanding of legislative regulations and / or standards
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the transportation or logistics industry
  • Experience operating with Agency providers and Carriers
  • International CPC holder (preferable)
