Transport Supervisor

Location: Sandtoft, DN8 5SX

Ready to step up in transport?

We’re looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our team at our Sandtoft Operation Centre and support the Transport Manager in running a safe, compliant and efficient transport operation.

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you’ll provide day-to-day leadership and support to our drivers, help coordinate the operation, monitor performance and ensure our transport processes and service levels are consistently met.

You’ll also provide operational cover for the Transport Manager when required, giving you the opportunity to take on additional responsibility within a busy transport environment.

The salary for this full-time, permanent position is £36,000 per annum.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervise and support drivers and transport colleagues, providing visible day-to-day leadership.
  • Help ensure compliance with the Operator Licence, DVSA requirements, legislation and Copart policies.
  • Monitor driver attendance, performance, welfare, conduct, and compliance.
  • Support drivers’ hours, tachograph compliance, licence checks, and training requirements.
  • Monitor vehicle condition, defects, safety inspections, and vehicle availability.
  • Assist with planning and allocating work to drivers and vehicles to maximize fleet efficiency.
  • Monitor transport KPIs and support actions to improve performance and service levels.
  • Support investigations into incidents, collisions, near misses, and customer complaints.
  • Support driver induction, onboarding, and development.
  • Provide operational guidance to drivers and act as an escalation point within your delegated authority.
  • Support audits, inspections, and DVSA Earned Recognition requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, compliance, productivity, and customer service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
