Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Night Transport Supervisor to join us, working Monday to Friday at our new site in Swindon.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £43,750 (inc shift allowance). We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Coordinate the transport operations on site and/or on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
- Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of company vehicles/ hire vehicles / subcontractors minimizing the cost impact to the business
- Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
- Responsible for the night time transport operation:
- Ensure that vehicles are planned properly to route and vehicle fill.
- Ensure customer collections are planned and completed to time.
- Ensure that night nightwork operations are despatched timely to achieve service level agreements.
- Dispatch & debrief drivers as per company policy.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctly
- Ensure depot compliance is up to date on Tacho management system, and all infringements are signed off in a timely manner.
- Investigate and rectify any missing mileage
- Manage breakdowns and defects in a timely manner
- Send appropriate, timely and accurate handover information
- Fleet compliance, including planned MOTs and servicing.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- A good understanding of fast-paced transport teams
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
