We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our growing client in Chester le Street.
This role is a temporary position for a minimum of 6 months to cover maternity leave, however there may be more opportunities for the right candidate.
This is an immediate start. Monday - Friday, day shift hours.
Duties Include -
- Planning daily delivery routes from Bamburgh, down to Darlington and across to the Lake District.
- Ensure all shipments and customer requirements, timelines are met.
- Use platform to post loads, book transport, track shipments and manage documentation.
- Resolve transport issues quickly and efficiently.
- Managing drivers' workloads in line with WTD legislation.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to drivers and customers.

- Recent experience of working within transport planning, particularly arranging routes.
- Good geographical knowledge of the area mentioned.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well organized, with attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
