We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our growing client in Chester le Street.

This role is a temporary position for a minimum of 6 months to cover maternity leave, however there may be more opportunities for the right candidate.

This is an immediate start. Monday - Friday, day shift hours.

Duties Include -

  • Planning daily delivery routes from Bamburgh, down to Darlington and across to the Lake District.
  • Ensure all shipments and customer requirements, timelines are met.
  • Use platform to post loads, book transport, track shipments and manage documentation.
  • Resolve transport issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Managing drivers' workloads in line with WTD legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to drivers and customers.

  • Recent experience of working within transport planning, particularly arranging routes.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the area mentioned.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well organized, with attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
