Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a "Network Capabilities Transportation and Distribution Lead," to join our TEAM. The role is based in Switzerland but we are open for anywhere in EMEA – preferably UK and Italy. This role is expected to run through December 2027.

As part of the Network Transformation Team, this role is responsible for supporting the Distribution and Transportation elements of the transformation portfolio, representing the function across strategic projects, driving and coordinating input into future-state network and IT design solutions, and supporting the execution of network transition activities that enable the future Distribution and Transportation network. This is a critical component of the business separation and requires coordination across multiple projects, markets, sites, functions, and stakeholders.

The position will also lead specific initiatives, such as Order Consolidation, from an execution perspective through value creation and realization. The role will ensure seamless execution of functional activities in line with defined timelines, standards, and transformation objectives, while maintaining clear alignment with respective team members and functions.

Working closely with regional Distribution and Transportation as well as global cross-functional teams and stakeholders, the role enables operational readiness, issue resolution, and disciplined execution across the future network.

RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Essential Functions)

  • Represent the Distribution and Transportation function in strategic transformation projects, providing functional input into network, process, partner, and IT solution design.
  • Manage multiple interdependent transition workstreams in parallel, maintaining clear ownership of deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions.
  • Prepare execution readiness and transition activities for site, market, carrier, warehouse, and partner changes, including cutover preparation, go-live coordination, stabilization, hyper care, and post-implementation follow-up/operational handover.
  • Lead or support specific value-creation initiatives, including Order Consolidation and other network capability programs, from execution planning through benefits realization.
  • Identify, monitor, and escalate project risks, constraints, readiness gaps, and dependency conflicts; facilitate timely resolution and decision-making to protect project timelines and business continuity.
  • Ensure transition activities are executed in accordance with approved standards, compliance requirements, quality expectations, operational controls, and transformation governance.
  • Prepare, in collaboration with Project Leads, concise progress updates, dashboards, governance materials, and leadership communications covering status, achievements, risks, mitigation actions, dependencies, and key decisions.
  • Facilitate effective stakeholder engagement and communication across functions and regions, ensuring visibility, alignment, accountability, and disciplined follow-through on agreed actions.
  • Capture lessons learned, after-action reviews, best practices, and deployment playbooks to enable continuous improvement and support future network implementations.
  • Support management of interdependencies between Distribution and Transportation projects and broader transformation initiatives, ensuring coherent execution across the end-to-end network portfolio.
  • Design and implement future transportation model to support new Network dynamics including KPI definition, operating model and partner performance management.

Education/Experience

Education and/or additional training:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A strong foundation in distribution operations is required; knowledge of FPX and process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Experience And Functional Competencies

  • Proven experience in high-visibility change environments and programs with multiple interdependent workstreams. This role requires an experienced Distribution and Transportation professional familiar with procurement processes and requirements.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, distribution, or transformation programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align, and drive engagement across local and regional teams.
  • Experience participating in complex projects, with ownership of deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
  • Experience coordinating operational transitions, system changes, site implementations, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of supply chain and distribution operations, primarily warehouse and transportation processes.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization: strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transformation environment.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, IT, Procurement, and external partners.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge the status quo constructively, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Must be self-directed and accountable, with a proven ability to work well under pressure, respond quickly, and adapt to evolving business environments and shifting priorities.
  • Experience in MedTech is a plus.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
