What You Will Do
- Develop cost-effective transportation solutions that meet operational needs.
- Manage carriers, 3PLs, contracts, bids, and service performance.
- Analyze transportation data to identify cost and efficiency improvements.
- Manage TMS tools and optimize freight execution.
- Coordinate transportation moves and resolve shipment delays.
- Lead logistics improvement, cost-reduction, and network optimization initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams, suppliers, and service providers to ensure reliable material flow.
Essential Criteria
- Degree/HND in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant logistics/transportation experience or 7 years’ relevant logistics/transportation experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in transportation, freight or logistics management.
- Experience managing carriers, freight forwarders or 3PL providers.
- Experience using data analysis to identify performance trends, issues or improvement opportunities.
- Experience applying structured problem-solving techniques to resolve transportation, freight or supply-chain issues.

Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge or experience of customs, import/export or trade compliance And managing international freight movements
- CILT, CIPS or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in aerospace, defence or regulated manufacturing.
- Experience conducting freight tenders, RFPs or carrier negotiations.
- Experience using SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Power BI, Tableau or SQL.
- Lean, Six Sigma or recognised continuous-improvement qualification.
