An Exciting Opportunity for a Trauma Nurse Coordinator (Band 7)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic individual to join Whipps Cross Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, as a Trauma Nurse Coordinator (Band 7 AFC) on a permanent basis.
About the Role
This role is ideally suited to candidates who are currently working as a Trauma Coordinator or in a similar specialist trauma role within the NHS and are looking to further develop their leadership, service improvement, and clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in supporting the ongoing transformation of trauma services.
- Have significant involvement in service development, pathway redesign, and the implementation of trauma network initiatives, including the enhancement of silver trauma pathways.
- Contribute to the operational management, audit, quality improvement, and governance of the trauma service.
- Work closely with the Site Trauma Director, Associate Director of Nursing, and senior nursing and medical colleagues across Emergency and Surgical specialties.
- Provide expert clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality trauma care.
- Support the achievement of national, regional, and network standards and ensure that strategic objectives are translated into effective clinical practice.

Requirements
- Experienced Trauma Nurse Coordinator or specialist trauma professional.
- Demonstrable leadership, clinical expertise, and service improvement experience.
