Role Description

The Travel Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Althams Travel Services Limited branch in Todmorden. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves using travel agency systems to prepare quotes, process bookings, and manage changes or cancellations. The Travel Advisor will handle customer inquiries in person, by phone, and via email, ensuring a high level of service and customer satisfaction. The role also includes:

  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Staying up to date on travel regulations and offers
  • Contributing to sales targets and branch performance

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with diverse clients.
  • Practical experience or aptitude in Travel Arrangements, such as booking flights, hotels, and packages.
  • Familiarity with or interest in working within a Travel Agency environment.
  • Attention to detail, numeracy, and the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
  • Comfort using computer systems, reservation platforms, and basic office software.
  • Previous experience in retail travel, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work standard retail hours, including some weekends and peak holiday periods.
