Travel Assistant

Job Overview
We are looking for an organised and reliable Travel Assistant to support travel planning, bookings, customer enquiries, itinerary preparation, and day-to-day travel administration. This is a suitable opportunity for candidates interested in building a career in the travel and tourism industry. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Research flights, hotels, destinations, tours, and travel experiences.
- Support the preparation of travel itineraries and schedules.
- Assist with bookings, reservations, amendments, and cancellations.
- Maintain accurate customer, booking, and travel information.
- Communicate with hotels, airlines, tour operators, and travel suppliers.
- Respond to basic customer enquiries and provide travel-related information.
- Prepare quotations, travel documents, schedules, and other materials.
- Follow up on booking requests and outstanding travel arrangements.
- Assist with resolving travel-related issues and escalate complex matters when required.
- Monitor travel schedules and communicate relevant updates.
- Support the wider travel team with administrative and coordination tasks.

Requirements
- Interest in travel, tourism, hospitality, or customer service.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good time-management and multitasking skills.
- Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and online platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous travel, tourism, administration, or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of UK and international travel destinations.
- Familiarity with travel booking and reservation systems.
- Experience with CRM or customer management platforms.
- Good research and itinerary-planning skills.
- Knowledge of airlines, hotels, tour operators, cruises, or travel packages.
- Experience working in a travel agency, tourism company, or hospitality environment is advantageous.
