Travel Consultant
Employment Type: Full-Time
Level: Entry-Level to Mid-Level
We are seeking a customer-focused and knowledgeable Travel Consultant to help clients plan and arrange memorable travel experiences. This role involves understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable destinations and travel products, coordinating bookings, and providing excellent service throughout the travel planning process.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to understand their travel preferences, budgets, schedules, and requirements.
- Recommend destinations, flights, hotels, tours, activities, and travel packages based on customer needs.
- Create customized itineraries and travel packages for leisure, business, group, and other types of travel.
- Handle reservations and bookings for flights, accommodation, transportation, tours, and activities.
- Provide accurate information regarding travel schedules, requirements, policies, and available services.
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, destination partners, and other travel suppliers.
- Process quotations, invoices, payments, cancellations, amendments, and refunds where applicable.
- Monitor booking confirmations, travel arrangements, and itinerary changes.
- Assist customers with travel-related issues before and during their trips.
- Stay updated on travel destinations, tourism products, seasonal promotions, and industry trends.
- Maintain accurate customer records, booking information, and sales documentation.
- Follow up with customers after trips to gather feedback and encourage repeat business or referrals.
- Meet individual and team sales, revenue, and customer-service targets.

✅ Requirements
- Experience in travel consulting, tourism, hospitality, customer service, or sales is preferred.
- Strong knowledge or interest in domestic and international travel destinations.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable travel solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good sales and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with booking systems, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), or travel management platforms is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools.
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines accurately.
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused when handling travel disruptions or customer concerns.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, or public holidays when required.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Travel Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
