Job Overview
We are looking for a customer-focused and knowledgeable Travel Consultant to assist clients with travel planning, destination selection, holiday arrangements, and travel-related services.
The successful candidate will understand customer requirements, recommend suitable travel options, coordinate bookings, and provide professional support throughout the travel planning process.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to understand their travel requirements, preferences, and budgets.
- Recommend suitable destinations, accommodation, transport, tours, and travel experiences.
- Create personalised travel itineraries and holiday packages.
- Research destinations, travel products, seasonal offers, and market trends.
- Assist customers with reservations, bookings, amendments, and cancellations.
- Communicate with hotels, airlines, tour operators, attractions, and other travel suppliers.
- Provide customers with accurate information about travel arrangements and services.
- Maintain customer records, booking details, and travel documentation.
- Follow up with customers and provide ongoing support when required.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional travel products and services.
- Resolve customer enquiries and travel-related issues professionally.
- Keep up to date with travel industry developments, destinations, and regulations.

Requirements
- Interest in travel, tourism, hospitality, or customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused approach with good relationship-building abilities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand customer needs and provide suitable recommendations.
- Comfortable using computers, online booking platforms, and digital tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous travel, tourism, sales, or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of UK and international travel destinations.
- Familiarity with travel booking and reservation systems.
- Experience with CRM or customer management platforms.
- Sales and upselling skills.
- Knowledge of airlines, hotels, tour operators, cruises, or travel packages.
- Previous experience as a travel consultant, travel advisor, travel agent, or tourism professional is advantageous.
