£32,000–£34,000 + 15% Discretionary Incentive
Travel Consultant job in Guildford within leisure travel, offering £32,000–£34,000 plus a 15% discretionary incentive. This is a sales and service role covering enquiries, quotations, flights, reservations and post-booking support for guests and travel agents.

Our Customer
Our client is an established luxury leisure travel business known for knowledgeable advice, personal service and carefully planned holidays. Their team builds lasting relationships with guests and travel agent partners.
They are now seeking a Travel Consultant to join their Guildford-based reservations team and deliver an exceptional experience from first enquiry through to post-travel support.
The Role
In this role, you will respond to enquiries, recommend suitable holidays, convert bookings and support guests and travel agents throughout their booking journey.
- Answer incoming calls promptly, professionally and with genuine warmth
- Discuss itineraries and offers, prepare accurate quotes and follow up enquiries
- Add and quote flights to match guests’ travel plans
- Build detailed product knowledge and keep up to date with new itineraries and promotions
- Identify appropriate opportunities to upsell and cross-sell
- Make occasional outbound calls to existing guests and travel agents
- Create group bookings and help administer guest details and payments
- Assist with larger group bookings and exclusive bookings where required
- Manage booking changes, flight date moves, cancellations and refunds
- Keep guest details and preferences fully up to date
- Create and send pre-departure documentation to guests and agents
- Help resolve guest relations queries and support client and agent events

Experience Required
- Previous experience within travel is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a warm, professional telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage enquiries and deadlines
- Competent user of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Personal travel experience and a genuine love of travel
- Positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to develop product knowledge
- English and Maths to GCSE Grade C or equivalent
- Experience with travel booking systems, airline systems or Salesforce
