Travel Consultant – Music & Entertainment
Manchester | £32,000–£34,000 + benefits | Galileo or Amadeus | Office/Hybrid
An exciting opportunity to join a growing Travel Management Company arranging travel for clients across the music and entertainment industry.
This could suit an experienced Travel Consultant who has worked with group travel and flights through a GDS, or a Tailormade Travel Consultant who is used to arranging complex travel, dealing with changes and emergencies and working flexibly around their clients.
You don’t necessarily need previous music touring experience. I’m looking for someone with the right attitude, flexibility and drive to learn the touring side of the business. A genuine interest in music, bands and the entertainment industry would be a real advantage.
Travel Consultant duties
- Booking flights and other worldwide travel arrangements for music and entertainment clients
- Working with group travel and managing flight bookings through a GDS
- Changing and amending itineraries and dealing with last-minute requests
- Managing travel problems and emergencies calmly and efficiently
- Liaising with clients, tour managers and suppliers to make sure travel arrangements run smoothly
- Taking ownership of issues and seeing them through to resolution
- Providing excellent customer service, even when things become busy or plans change at short notice

Experience required
- Experience booking flights using a GDS such as Galileo or Amadeus
- Group travel experience involving flights would be highly desirable
- Alternatively, strong Tailormade Travel or Travel Consultant experience involving complex worldwide travel
- Experience dealing with changes, disruptions, emergencies or last-minute client requests
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A genuine interest in music, bands or the entertainment industry would be a real advantage
- Most importantly, you’ll need to be flexible, adaptable and willing to do what is needed to get the job done
Additional information
- Working between 8.30am and 6.30pm on a small shift pattern:
- Flexibility is essential. This is not a typical 9–5 corporate travel role and shifts can sometimes overrun depending on what is happening with clients and tours.
- You’ll need to be comfortable working in an environment where things can change quickly and where getting the job done is more important than simply finishing when your scheduled shift ends.
- £32,000–£34,000 salary plus excellent benefits, bonuses and incentive payments
