Job Description
Join McLaren Racing’s Travel Department as a Travel Coordinator supporting the efficient and cost-effective delivery of travel arrangements for race teams and support staff attending TPC, Heritage, non-F1 and commercial events.
Working within a friendly, motivated and busy team, you will coordinate complex international travel requirements and help provide the best possible travel experience. Your responsibilities will span flights, accommodation, car rental, transfers, itineraries, passports and visa applications.
Principal Accountabilities
As part of the role you could be spending your time:
- Managing the booking of flights, hotels, car rental and transfers for groups of people attending events for TPC and Heritage Events
- Assisting with ad hoc business travel requests
- Passport management and visa applications for all series
- Booking of flights via GDS (Sabre) alongside making group airline fare bookings
- Producing accurate travel itineraries that are circulated to all attendees
- Negotiating group deals with suppliers so that McLaren gets the best possible rate
- Bench-marking suppliers and showing cost saving across bookings where possible
- Managing working relationships with travel partners/suppliers such as our Travel Agent
- Post-event invoicing and reconciliation
- Supporting the wider team, and organisation, with other tasks where required

Qualifications
To join our race for performance, you’ll ideally have an events or travel background with demonstrable experience within all or several the following:
- Working on events/travel for large numbers of people at once
- Group or published fare flights
- Group hotel bookings and rooming lists
- Group and or individual car rental
- Accurate creation and maintenance of itineraries for multiple events
- Competent use of Microsoft packages
