🛠️ We’re Hiring: Travel Customer Service Executive 📍 Remote (United Kingdom) 🕒 Full-Time 💼 Level: Entry-Level / Junior / Associate 💰 Base Salary: £2,800+ per month

We’re looking for a friendly, patient, and customer-focused Travel Customer Service Executive to provide professional support to customers throughout their travel journey. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, communicating with customers, and working in the travel and tourism industry. You’ll be responsible for handling enquiries, assisting with bookings, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring every customer receives a positive and professional experience.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries through email, phone, live chat, and online communication channels
  • Provide accurate and timely information about bookings, travel arrangements, destinations, hotels, flights, tours, and travel services
  • Assist customers with new bookings, booking amendments, cancellations, and general travel requests
  • Support customers before, during, and after their travel arrangements
  • Handle customer questions regarding itineraries, schedules, confirmations, payments, and travel documentation
  • Liaise with airlines, hotels, tour operators, travel suppliers, and internal teams to resolve customer issues
  • Investigate booking problems and provide practical solutions in a professional manner
  • Escalate complex or urgent issues to the appropriate team when necessary
  • Process customer requests accurately and ensure all relevant information is recorded
  • Maintain accurate customer profiles, booking records, correspondence, and CRM information
  • Follow up with customers regarding outstanding requests, changes, confirmations, and resolutions
  • Assist customers with special requirements and travel-related requests
  • Provide clear explanations of booking conditions, policies, procedures, and available options
  • Monitor customer feedback and identify recurring issues or opportunities to improve service quality
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives and contribute to service improvement projects
  • Maintain a professional and positive approach when dealing with difficult or challenging situations
  • Stay up to date with travel products, destinations, company policies, promotions, and industry developments

🤝 Customer Experience

  • Deliver a friendly, professional, and personalised customer experience
  • Build trust and positive relationships with customers
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and understand their needs
  • Resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all customer channels
  • Ensure customers receive accurate information and timely updates
  • Follow up to confirm that customer issues have been successfully resolved

📋 Booking & Administrative Support

  • Assist with booking confirmations, amendments, cancellations, refunds, and travel documentation
  • Update customer and booking information in internal systems
  • Maintain accurate records of customer communications and actions taken
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to complete customer requests
  • Track outstanding cases and ensure they are followed up within appropriate timeframes
  • Support customer service reporting and administrative tasks

📊 Service Quality & Performance

  • Monitor customer satisfaction, response times, enquiry volumes, and resolution rates
  • Identify recurring customer issues and suggest improvements
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to relevant teams
  • Assist with service quality initiatives and customer experience projects
  • Work towards agreed customer service and performance targets

✅ Requirements

  • Entry-Level / Junior / Associate with 0–3+ years of experience
  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Communications, Customer Service, or a related field is a plus
  • Strong interest in travel, tourism, customer service, and helping people
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Friendly, patient, professional, and empathetic communication style
  • Strong listening, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling difficult customer situations
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customer enquiries and priorities
  • Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, live chat platforms, and other customer service tools
  • Familiarity with travel booking systems or GDS platforms is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of travel products, destinations, airlines, hotels, or tour operators is advantageous
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop within the travel industry
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Based in the United Kingdom with the legal right to work in the UK
