Department: Travel Director Management and On Road Support Team for our TTC Touring Brands
Location: Europe
Contract Type: Travel Directors are independent contractors on a seasonal contract.
Closing Date: 4th November 2026

The Role
Travel Directors are an intricate part of the guests' travel experience, providing a personalised service to ensure their expectations are met and exceeded. They enrich the group travel experience and promote bonding over the time spent together on tour.

What Will You Do?
- Ensure branded delivery of outstanding guest service throughout a trip to meet our service standards, to maintain high levels of guest enjoyment, satisfaction, and guest loyalty. Ensuring that one’s conduct throughout the trip is reflective of the Brand and all it represents.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout a trip, identifying concerns and responding in a positive and professional manner. Where necessary, provide feedback to the relevant department on frequent service recovery issues. Manage the impact of social media and ensure quick service recovery and positive outcome.
- Actively promote TTC and its Touch Points, TreadRight Foundation, Make Travel Matter, How We Tread Right, Our Values, how we approach sustainability, personalized service and innovating in our industry. Ensuring Brand Touch Points are delivered pre trip, all the way through, to post trip as outlined in TTC Brands Manual. Using TTC’s Brand Manual as a reference to ensure all on-trip deliverables are adhered to on every single trip.
- Keep guests clearly advised and updated with travel plans e.g., arrival and departure times and places of interest. Maintain clear communications in managing the expectations of the guests. Ensure guests are updated and informed on situations in a timely fashion, sharing relevant knowledge e.g., delays or cancellations.
- Be actively engaged during included lunches and dinners, using smaller and more intimate dining experiences as an opportunity to connect with guests for small groups, facilitate conversation, ensure dietary requirements are met and enhance the overall group experience/ Being available and present during sightseeing tours to ensure guests are fully taken care of and for any additional support.
- Provide timely and interesting insider commentary throughout a trip of the destinations visited. Include historical facts and other relevant information to enhance the guests’ knowledge and experience. Ability to read both the group dynamic and individual guest interests, adapting commentary, recommendations and experiences to create a more relevant and enriching journey for each guest. Using music and other forms of media to enhance the experience and guest’s enjoyment.
- Create an intimate and inclusive group environment that encourages meaningful connections between guests while respecting individual travel preferences. Leverage the advantages of smaller group sizes to spend quality one-to-one time with guests, ensuring individual needs, interests and special occasions are recognised and celebrated where possible. Recognise and adapt to individual guest personalities, travel goals and interaction styles, ensuring an appropriate balance between group engagement and personal exploration.
- Encourage the well-being and safety of guests on trip. Provide support and guidance to guests, manage abnormal/emergency situations, and arrange necessary care.
- Preparation of trip using our in-house software. Timely pre-booking and confirmation of authorized optional experiences pre-trip. Reconfirmation of all inclusions, hotels, entrances, local specialists/experts, and meal venues. Pre-trip welcome email to group with appropriate information attached send to group via in-house software. Prompt and timely checking of trip files.
- Promotion and sale of optional experiences. Ensure clarification between optional and included events is provided at commencement of trip. Ensure guests who do not wish to purchase Optional Experiences are provided with suggestions for alternative activities / Guests who do not partake in Optionals are provided with any transfers.
- Explain to our guests regarding content of our TTC 5-year sustainability strategy. Ensure we follow through with a positive impact on the planet, people, and communities we visit. Embrace diversity and inclusion on each of our trips with our global guests. Support the elimination of unnecessary single use plastics with supporting our guests to use their own reusable water bottles and facilitating appropriate stops to replenish.

About You
- A current Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate
- A current First Aid Certificate
- All necessary working requirements for the country/countries you intend to represent TTC
- Ability to build rapport quickly and develop meaningful guest relationships. Highly effective guest service skills
- Effective communication skills e.g., the ability to communicate with groups but also be responsive to individual needs. Skilled at facilitating group conversation and encouraging social connection
- Proven organizational and time management skills. Basic computer skills and social media aware
- Ability to tell stories in an engaging and memorable way, to bring the itinerary alive to our guests
- Friendly, being able to show warmth and through positive body language. Ability to promote a positive company image through actions and appearance.
