Blunt Radio is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Travel News Presenter to join our team!

We’re looking for someone to provide short, informative UK travel updates for our radio stations, helping listeners stay informed about planned roadworks, ongoing delays and other important travel information.

What’s involved?

  • Produce one 40-second travel news bulletin per day, Monday to Friday.
  • Focus on planned roadworks, ongoing road closures, long-term delays and other relevant traffic disruption across the UK.
  • Record each bulletin as an MP3 or WAV audio file.
  • Upload the finished bulletin to our designated Dropbox folder each day, ready for automated broadcast.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you won't need to do:

  • Breaking news, live accidents and sudden traffic incidents will be handled by our live on-air presenters, so your role will focus on preparing a concise, pre-recorded daily update.

Who are we looking for?

  • Someone with a clear, confident and engaging speaking voice.
  • Good research skills and an interest in UK roads and travel.
  • Reliable, organised and able to meet daily deadlines.
  • Previous radio, broadcasting or voice-over experience would be beneficial, but enthusiasm and reliability are just as important.
