"Luxury travel" sounds glamorous. This job isn't.

It's fast paced, demanding, detail-obsessed, and unforgiving of dropped balls. If you need a script for what to do next, or someone else to lean on when it gets hard, this isn't for you — you just need intelligence, judgement and commonsense to work things out. No special skill required.

But if you're the person everyone calls when something needs organising — the one who works out the right call on your own, fixes problems before anyone has to ask, and owns what's yours start to finish — keep reading.

We're Crown Journey. We design high-end, tailor-made UK travel experiences for American clients. We're a small, ambitious team based in Telford — high standards, real ownership from day one. We need a Travel Operations & Client Support Executive to join us the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Once our sales team has sold a trip, it's handed to you. Following training and induction, you'll own it from there — booking every element, planning the detail, and managing live operations while clients are on the ground. You'll check in regularly with the client, or the US travel agent who introduced them, to make sure everything's going well — not just wait to be told if it isn't. Being the calm voice clients trust when something needs solving in real time. No script. No hand-holding. Just judgement, initiative, and follow-through.

The role:

  • 📍 Telford, Shropshire — 4 days/week in office, WFH Fridays
  • 💷 From £27,000 depending on experience
  • 💰 Performance incentive worth ~2 months' extra salary per year, paid quarterly
  • 🚀 Immediate start

What we need:

  • ✔ A genuine track record of solving problems on your own initiative — from any background, not just travel
  • ✔ Exceptional organisation and attention to detail
  • ✔ Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude day-to-day — this is a must
  • ✔ Permanent, unrestricted right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

Travel, tourism or DMC experience is a bonus — not a requirement. We care far more about how you think than what your CV says.

If that sounds like the kind of pressure you thrive under rather than dread, we'd love to hear from you.
