Are you an experienced and driven individual with a passion for sustainable transport and behaviour change? Hampshire County Council is looking for a Travel Plan Adviser to join our My Journey Hampshire team and help shape how people travel across the county.

The Travel Planning Team plays a key role in helping people make healthier, greener and more sustainable travel choices. Our work supports walking, wheeling, cycling, public transport and other low-carbon travel options, contributing to improved health, reduced congestion and a better environment for our communities.

As part of the team, you will be directly leading and supporting projects and initiatives that align with these important objectives, helping the Council deliver its commitment to sustainable transport and climate goals.

The Role:

As a Travel Plan Adviser, you will lead the development and delivery of travel planning services, building relationships with public and private sector stakeholders to support organisations in achieving their travel planning objectives, while assisting with wider programme activities such as marketing, air quality and consultations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
