Role Description
The Travel Project Coordinator is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting travel-related activities for departmental projects, conferences, and academic programs. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating travel arrangements for faculty, students, and guests; managing itineraries; and tracking travel budgets and approvals. The role involves liaising with travel agencies, accommodation providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely bookings and accurate documentation. The coordinator will maintain travel records, prepare basic reports, and provide customer service support to travelers regarding changes, queries, or issues. This position requires consistent communication via email and online tools and collaboration with administrative and project teams to ensure smooth travel operations.

- Strong skills in Travel Arrangements and Travel Management, including planning itineraries, booking transportation, and organizing accommodation.
- Demonstrated Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with faculty, students, partners, and service providers.
- Experience handling Business Travel processes, such as approvals, budget tracking, and compliance with institutional policies.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, online booking platforms).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- Prior experience in travel coordination, administration, or project support is preferred.
- Relevant education in administration, management, hospitality, or a related field is an advantage.
