Overview

Registered Nurse – Utilization Management in Carlisle, PA. This travel temporary assignment starts on 08/24/2026 and runs for 4 weeks with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Earn $1,986-$2,130 per week on a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 5x8 daylight shift in a long-term care nursing home setting.

Responsibilities

  • Review resident care plans to confirm medical necessity and appropriate level of care in alignment with payer guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
  • Conduct utilization management activities, including chart review, prospective and concurrent reviews, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Determine authorization requirements and communicate decisions to care teams and physicians; ensure regulatory and payer compliance.
  • Provide leadership support to the care team and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Identify risk signals and coordinate with case management and payers to resolve issues and optimize outcomes.

Requirements

  • LTC experience mandatory
  • Previous leadership skills or supervisory experience
  • Active RN license (standard expectation for practice)
  • Ability to perform utilization management duties in a long-term care setting
  • Willingness to travel and work a daylight 5x8 schedule on a temporary assignment
