Travel Systems & Integrations Manager

We are actively embracing AI within YTC and good practical knowledge of AI tools is a requirement for this role.

We are not looking for someone who simply knows what ChatGPT is.

We want someone who understands how to use modern AI tools intelligently to improve the speed and quality of their work.

That might include using AI to:

• Analyse problems and large amounts of information
• Understand and work through technical documentation
• Assist with data and reporting work
• Develop formulas, queries or workflow logic
• Troubleshoot system issues
• Document processes and integrations
• Build testing plans
• Research possible solutions
• Automate repetitive tasks
• Turn ideas and requirements into structured project plans quickly

You should be curious about new technology and continually looking at how AI and automation can make both your own role and the wider business more efficient.

Essential requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Be based in the UK
• Have at least three years’ relevant experience within the travel industry
• Have a strong understanding of business travel technology and systems
• Be technically confident and comfortable working across multiple platforms
• Have good practical knowledge of AI tools and how to use them effectively in day-to-day work
• Have at least basic recognised technical or IT-related qualifications
• Have a good level of cyber security awareness
• Be confident working with technical suppliers, clients and an outsourced IT MSP

Travel technology experience

Ideally, you will have hands-on knowledge of several of the following:

• Atriis
• Umbrella Faces
• Travelport Galileo
• Other major GDS platforms
• Online booking tools
• Traveller profile systems
• Corporate travel reporting
• CRM platforms
• Data and analytics platforms
• APIs and system integrations
• SFTP data transfers
• Data mapping and testing
• AI and workflow automation tools

Strong knowledge of Atriis, Umbrella and travel GDS technology would be particularly valuable. Experience with Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics would also be a major advantage, although we would not expect someone to arrive knowing every system we use.

Technical and cyber security awareness This role sits close to client data, system integrations and third-party technology, so a good grounding in IT and cyber security is essential.

You must have:

• At least basic recognised technical or IT-related qualifications
• A good level of cyber security awareness
• An understanding of secure data handling and access control
• A working understanding of authentication, permissions, SSO and secure file transfer
• The ability to understand the security implications of connecting different systems
• The confidence to discuss technical and security requirements with our IT MSP and other technology providers
• The ability to ask the right questions when a client or supplier proposes a new integration
• An understanding of when something needs to be escalated to a specialist rather than handled independently

You do not need to be a cyber security specialist or infrastructure engineer.

You do, however, need to be able to converse confidently with our IT MSP and technical suppliers, particularly during client integration projects where areas such as data security, authentication, access, file transfer and system architecture may need to be discussed.

You should be technically competent enough to understand what is being proposed, challenge where appropriate and make sure the right people are involved before changes are implemented.
