About The Wolfpack Project
The Wolfpack Project is a Nottingham-based charity supporting young people aged 16-29 who are experiencing loneliness, social isolation, and poor mental health. Through community activities, peer support, and meaningful opportunities to connect, we help young people build confidence, develop friendships, and improve their wellbeing.
Everything we do is underpinned by our values of Inclusion and Belonging, Respectful & Supportive, Accountability and Transparency, and Collaboration. These values shape not only the services we deliver, but how we work with young people, volunteers, partners, and one another.
We are a small charity with big ambitions to reach more young people across the county. Like many charities, we've navigated a challenging financial period in recent years, and thanks to strong leadership and careful financial management, we've emerged with a much stronger, more sustainable outlook. With new funding secured and our resilience rebuilding, we're in a great position to grow.
We're building a proactive board that will champion and advocate for the charity at every opportunity, helping our team build on this momentum and make an even greater impact on the young people we support.
This is an exciting time to join The Wolfpack Project. As Treasurer, your insight and expertise will play a vital role in helping us build a financially sustainable charity capable of delivering lasting change for young people.
The Role
The Treasurer is a key member of the Board of Trustees and provides oversight and guidance on the charity's financial health, sustainability, and governance.
Working closely with the CEO and fellow board members, the Treasurer will help ensure that the charity maintains strong financial management practices and can confidently pursue its strategic ambitions.
The Treasurer does not need to be a qualified accountant, but should have strong financial experience and confidence in interpreting financial information, developing and monitoring budgets, reviewing cash flow and forecasts, identifying financial risks, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
