The Board of Trustees for 75th Braid Scout Group, a registered charity, is looking for its next Treasurer to manage the financial health, record-keeping, and legal compliance of the Group, as a Trustee Board member. The group is located at Millar Hall, adjacent to Cameron Toll Shopping Centre

The Role of Treasurer will allow the group to continue to function as a charity and as a group within Braid District Scout Council. Your expertise in financial management will ensure a strong Trustee Board, effective and productive meetings.
Good governance is a key factor to our continuing success as a Scout District. It enables our leadership teams to ensure that local scouting is compliant with the Scouts policies, organisation and rules; Scottish law, and OSCR regulations. Our Trustees, through their governance duties, support everyone providing exciting programmes and experiences for all our youth members.

What will you be doing?
The Treasurer of the Trustee Board helps the volunteer board to ensure the Scout group is run safely, legally, and effectively. There are three key areas to achieve this:
Accurate recording of Accounts
- Keep an accurate log of the Group's accounts, across all sections.
- Prepare the accounts for the Group Council's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the accounts submission to OSCR.
Support Group Members
- Along with Chair manage adult volunteer expenses.
- Advise and approve spending of group funds on items and activities.
Forward Planning
- Play a key role in the Trustee Board's fundraising strategy.
- Advise in the Group's financial strategy and budget.
