Treasurer Opportunity at 2050 Climate Group
2050 Climate Group is now accepting applications for a Treasurer with financial experience to join our Board. Trustees will help govern and lead the charity, and guide it through an exciting next chapter as we develop our small (but mighty) staff team and our incredible volunteer team and network.
Time commitment: 8 - 15 hours per month, dependent on Board priorities and individual availability. We have hybrid board meetings every 2 months on a Saturday.
Role: unpaid, but expenses are reimbursed

Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring income and expenditure.
- Experience with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Knowledge of charity finance, governance, and regulatory requirements in the UK or willingness to learn.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify risks, and communicate insights clearly to non-specialists.
- Comfort using spreadsheets and basic accounting or financial management tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to transparent financial practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with trustees, staff, and volunteers.
- Interest in climate action, sustainability, and youth empowerment; prior experience in the third sector is beneficial but not essential.
- Availability to attend Board meetings in Glasgow (with some remote participation) and to contribute time regularly in a volunteer capacity.
