Treasurer (Voluntary Trustee Role)

Agenda Alliance

Location: Board meetings primarily held online with occasional meetings in London

Remuneration: Unpaid voluntary trustee position

Time Commitment: Approximately quarterly Board meetings, quarterly Finance & Risk Committee meetings, plus reasonable preparation and ambassadorial responsibilities.

Agenda Alliance is seeking an exceptional Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.

This is an opportunity to use your financial leadership, strategic insight and sound judgement to help drive lasting change for women and girls experiencing multiple unmet needs. Working alongside a passionate and committed Board, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation's financial health and helping it maximise its impact.

As Treasurer, you will play a key leadership role on the Board, helping to ensure that the organisation remains financially resilient, effectively governed and able to deliver its mission.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic oversight of financial performance and sustainability.
  • Supporting effective financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Helping ensure that organisational risks are appropriately identified and managed.
  • Chairing the Finance & Risk Committee.
  • Supporting sound governance and trustee decision-making.
  • Working closely with fellow trustees and the executive team to strengthen financial resilience and long-term impact.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Agenda Alliance and its mission.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Can Demonstrate

  • Strong financial leadership and strategic thinking.
  • Experience scrutinising financial performance, budgets, investments or organisational risk.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
  • Sound judgement and a collaborative approach to leadership.
  • An understanding of good governance and trustee responsibilities.
  • A commitment to equity, inclusion and social justice.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the mission and values of Agenda Alliance.
