Treasurer – The Carers’ Centre (BaNES)

Location: Bath & North East Somerset (hybrid)
Time Commitment: Approximately 1.5 days per month
Salary: Voluntary (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
Job Ref: MC2705
Closing Date: Midnight, Sunday 11th October

Our client, The Carers’ Centre, is a trusted and long-standing charity supporting more than 8,000 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset. For 30 years, they have ensured carers of all ages are recognised, valued, and supported to stay well, stay in control, and stay connected. With a newly awarded seven-year adult carers contract and continued delivery of young carers’ services through to 2029, the organisation is entering an exciting and ambitious phase of development.

They are now seeking to appoint a Treasurer to join their committed and values-driven Board of Trustees. This is a pivotal governance role at a time when unpaid carers are increasingly central to the sustainability of our health and social care systems. The Carers’ Centre is strengthening its digital innovation, expanding its reach to hidden carers, and diversifying income streams, all underpinned by strong financial stewardship.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
